Pharm D Training at Kamineni Hospital
Vikas College of Pharmaceutical Sciences has signed MoU with Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) teaching Hospital, Narketpally to impart Introductory Pharmacy Practice Exposure (IPPE), Advanced Pharmacy Practice Exposure (APPE) to Pharm D students. IPPE includes bed side teaching and case based learning. APPE includes clinical pharmacy skills training through clerkship and internship activities. KIMS is a 1050 bed multi specialty teaching hospital. All the clerkship and internship students daily take part in the ward activities of Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Psychiatry, Dermatology and Gynecology. The internship students also visit PCI approved external sites for Oncology rotation.
